the first u.s. college divested from israel and i am dreaming that a movement led by descendants of refugees is too strong to be stopped. divestment happens in every u.s. school. after 61 years i take my tata back to her home. she rolls grapeleaves one-handed on the porch shaded by grape vines and sighs, “ya sitti. ya habibti.”
